Part E: Story retelling

Story 1:

John was going on vacation. Before leaving for the airport, he carefully packed his bags and made sure that he was wearing comfortable clothes for the flight. He took a taxi to the airport, and arrived with plenty of time to spare. When he went to the check-in desk, he reached into his bag for his passport, and realised he had left it at home! John's vacation was off to a bad start.

Story 2:

Jenny bought a new desk to use when working from home. It was delivered to her house in a box, with instructions on how to assemble it. It took a little while, but she was able to put the desk together. Jenny stepped back and looked at the desk. It looked great! However, she had used a lot of energy and was now too tired to do any work.

Story 3:

Some boys were playing soccer at the local park. During the game, a small dog ran onto the pitch. The dog was wearing a collar, but there was no-one else around. One of the boys saw that the owner's phone number was on the collar. He called the number and told her that he had found her dog. The owner thanked the boy and said she would come to the park to pick the dog up.

Reason 1: One reason for this is that hobbies are a great way to meet new people.
